Velvet Bliss is a rich, saturated coffee with bright notes of grapefruit, cranberry, and plump grapes.
This gem is the flagship coffee from "La Reserva Management Center," a group of eight farms and coffee growers, now in their 2nd and 3rd generations of production. Recent favorite Fabiola Ortega also contributed a portion of the green coffee for this edition of Velvet Bliss.
For nine years, La Reserva has worked with InConexus to strengthen their regenerative agriculture practices and produce ever higher coffee quality. In addition to coffee, the farms have a Rainforest Alliance Certification and also grow citrus fruits, avocado, banana, and yucca.
Only the ripest cherries were harvested and sorted. This coffee first fermented in cherry for 48 hours before being de-pulped (without water) and fermented again in tanks for another 100 hours. The coffee cherries were then placed on air-flow canopy beds for 22-26 days to finish the drying process.
